ArtWork(s)

The project addresses the interconnectedness of 3 thematic priorities within the EUPP5 objective “Towards an Open, Fair and Sustainable Europe in the World”. Through an integrated programme of awareness-raising and capacity building combining culture, creativity, social participation, it creates links between Youth, Sports & Culture, the SDGs, and Global Citizenship Education. Participants engage with arts and cultural practices to understand global citizenship, recongise interdependencies, and take active role in democratic and social processes, contributing to inclusive, sustainable and democratic development.

Objectives:

  • Strengthen the role of art as a driver for dialogue and awareness on cross-cutting social and environmental issues, including human rights, among youth, artists and civil society actors.
  • Build young people’s skills, creativity and civic competences through inclusive, participatory, and non-formal methods.
  • Empower young people to take initiative, shape narratives, and engage in cultural and civic processes through empathy, solidarity, and shared responsibility.

The project “Towards an open, fair and sustainable Europe in the world – EU Presidency Project 2024-2026” is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by Global Focus, Grupa Zagranica, CARDET, and CONCORD, the European Confederation of NGOs working on sustainable development and international cooperation. Project Number: 2024 / 459-484.
