“#ESCalate: Hype to Action” Training Course

Dates: 25 May (arrival) – 1 June (departure)

Location: Abeiro da Loba (Madelos, Galicia)

ESCalate: Hype to Action was created as a response to a common challenge faced by many young people after completing a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering experience. While ex-volunteers often return highly motivated and with strong competences such as leadership, initiative, adaptability, and teamwork, they frequently struggle to translate these skills into professional opportunities or to remain actively engaged in the youth work sector. The project aims exchange good practices on how to support ESC alumni to continue their involvement in non-formal education and youth work, supporting their transition from volunteering to more professional or long-term roles in the field. This TC will empower you with practical tools and mentoring methodologies through a peer-learning opportunity in which if one of you will be both the learner and the facilitator.

Participant profile: The Training Course is mainly designed for:
– ESC former volunteers who want to stay involved in youth work or take steps toward professionalisation in the sector.
– Youth workers, mentors, group leaders, and staff of youth organisations who support young people after ESC experiences or wish to develop post-volunteering mentoring processes

Priority will be given to participants who: – Are active in youth work or motivated to engage in it.
– Are interested in mentoring and facilitation
– Show willingness to apply and disseminate the project results in their local contexts.
– Have communicative skills in English and are comfortable in an intercultural environment.
– Are committed to taking part actively in all phases of the training, including preparation and follow-up.
