Break The Narrative – Training with Young People in Kalamata/Greece

On 29-30 November, we met in Kalamata, Greece, with a diverse group of young people for the second <<< Break The Narrative >> training weekend. Over two days, we dug into how racism and coloniality shape our societies, learned ways to engage in challenging yet necessary conversations, and explored how personal reflection and identity connect to meaningful social change.

With our guest speaker Adla Shashati, Director of the Greek Forum of Migrants, we learned about policy advocacy in Greece, complemented by talking about relevant legal protections and practical tools for pushing against discrimination. We then ended the training by developing and planning practical antiracist actions.

Thank you to all participants, facilitators, and our guest speaker Adla Shashati for your openness, energy, and commitment. Spaces like this remind us of the impact of collective effort and the importance of antiracist work.
