The Officers

YEU Cyprus operates through its dedicated officers, tirelessly committed to amplifying the voices of our participants and members, translating their needs and desires into actionable projects. These officers are responsible for the smooth operation of the organization, including administration, organizing and delivering activities and workshops, proposal writing, mentoring and hosting volunteers and interns

The Board

The governance of the organization is overseen by the Board of Directors, consisting of seven dedicated volunteer members. Their diverse backgrounds ensure that the organization benefits from a wide spectrum of expertise, enriching our projects and enabling us to effectively represent young individuals from various sectors.

Nina Poulouzasvili
Executive Director

Nina has a background in Arts and a BA in Architectural Design, she has extensive experience managing European projects and local grants, facilitating mobilities, organizing conferences, designing learning pathways and public interventions. She has been part of the YEU Cyprus team since 2020. She has over 10 years of experience working directly with youth through non-formal education methodology, through the medium of dance and the artistic elements of hip hop culture. By using art practices, she encourages active citizenship, empathy, personal and social transformation, utilizing it as a powerful tool to address social injustice.

Kemal Ashik
Senior Project Manager

Kemal is responsible for coordinating, managing, and implementing projects at YEU Cyprus. He has experience in working with EU-based and local funding bodies, creating learning pathways and facilitating workshops with youth. He has been involved as a volunteer and a team member of various civil society organizations. He holds a BA in Translation & Interpreting and an MA in Communication & Media Studies. His prior experience has mostly involved engaging with youth through non-formal education methodologies in the fields of peace education and community building.

Christian Drewicke
ESC Officer

Chris is a dedicated youth worker whose journey began as a HipHop teacher, inspiring his passion for empowering young people. While participating in numerous youth empowerment initiatives, he deepened his understanding of society by earning a BA in Social Science. In 2020, Christian co-founded HipHop4Hope Athens under the umbrella of HipHop4Hope e.V.. He continues to create safe spaces for expression, growth, and connection, fostering positive change in young lives and communities.

Christia Dimitriou
Operations Officer

Christia is a passionate activist and researcher with a strong academic foundation in economics and a deep commitment to social inclusion and equality. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Cyprus and an M.Sc. in Economic Behavior and Governance. Alongside her academic journey, Christia is an active advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, diversity, and youth empowerment.Her activism has also been recognized in the UK as she is currently an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society. Her work focuses on promoting inclusive policies, equitable representation, and the empowerment of marginalized communities.

Andriani Antoniadou
President

Andriani believes that volunteerism is a great tool to teach young people how important their actions can be for the society. As a future primary school teacher, she wishes to empower kids and young people, encourage cooperation and collectiveness among them and promote open-mindedness and acceptance.

Antzela Bilianidi
Vice President and Head of Internal Affair

As the Vice President of YEU Cyprus, Angela Bilianidi aka Angie Vein is actively contributing to the organization’s mission of empowering young people through intercultural dialogue, human rights education, and youth participation. With an academic background in both music and visual arts, she uses her artistic foundation as a powerful medium for expression, communication, and advocacy.

Andri Koumidou
Head of HR / Secretary

Andri holds a BA and MA in European Studies with a specialization in Cultural Anthropology and Modern History. She loves dancing, traveling, playing board games, spending time in nature, and discovering new places. By meeting people from all over the world, she realized how many similarities people share.

Pantelis Kiriakidis
Head of Financials / Treasurer

Pan graduated with a BSc in geophysics and carried on to complete an MSc in Environmental Technology. During his studies, he attended a Youth Exchange through YEU which acted as a catalyst for his relationship with Erasmus+ projects. Upon his return to Cyprus he joined YEU with the vision of further "greening" the projects that gave him the opportunity to not only explore different cultures and practices, but to also grow as an individual.

Annita Tsolaki
Head of Communications and Public Relations

Annita holds a BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the University of Kent, UK and an MA Political Sciences-International Relations from the University of Cyprus. She has worked as a youth worker at YEU Cyprus and she is currently working as an EU Project Manager and researcher at the DIAS media group. Through her work, she aims to raise awareness on several societal challenges, promote multidisciplinary analysis and offer sustainable and innovative solutions.

Head of Organizational Capacity Development and Sustainability

Maria first connected with YEU Cyprus in 2014, when she joined her very first youth exchange. Since then, it has become a space where her values, interests, and passion for learning and non-formal education align. Wearing the teacher’s hat on weekdays, she dreams of bridging the gap between youth work and formal education — weaving human rights, grammar rules, active citizenship, vocabulary, and critical thinking into the same learning tapestry. When she’s not trying to reason with sassy teens, she can be found soaking up the sun and playing with plants and soil.

Myrianthi Karantona
Myrianthi Karantona
Head of Volunteerism

Myrianthi Karantona is a social inclusion professional with a strong background in gender equality, migration, and EU-funded programs. With more than three years of experience in the fields of Migration and Asylum, she has supported vulnerable communities, coordinated multicultural initiatives, and contributed to integration efforts. Her work in EU project management includes leading and implementing projects that promote social cohesion, inclusion, and human rights, while ensuring compliance with EU regulations and strategic objectives. She holds an academic foundation in social sciences with a particular interest in gender and cultural issues, and she is also an HRDA-certified trainer, designing and delivering training programs on gender equality and the prevention of workplace harassment.
