Living In Diversity – A European Solidarity Corps Opportunity in Spain

BASIDA is a charitable, non-profit association that has been declared as a Public Utility since 1996 and has the general aim of providing attention to people in need from a biopsychosocial point of view.
Originally, BASIDA worked with final-phase AIDS sufferers. Now this work has since expanded to cater to any kind of illness, but what all users have in common is that they need assistance in day-to-day life. The houses are based in three different locations and there are isolated with close community life style.

It is a unique ESC opportunity for people who are highly motivated and want to devote 9 months of their life helping people with various illnesses.

Age: 18-30

When: 9 months (with the starting date being within 2020) - flexible dates

Where: There are 3 different locations. Navahondilla, Manzanares and Aranjuez

Requirements: There are no strict requirements though preferably, the selected volunteer will have a background in medical, social or psychological studies. The volunteer must be flexible, easy to adapt and willing to respect the rules of the house.
